Qn: Josh, what are your thoughts on the overall performance of the team in last Sunday's match?
Josh: The team is passing much better compared to the previous 2 games but we need to improve defensively as a team.
Qn: What exactly about the defensive aspect does the team have to improve on?
Josh: The players need to follow the team instructions and we need the manager to direct the play. Players were often off their positions creating unnecessary gaps which were springboards for quick counter attacks.
Qn: I see. What about your own performance then?
Josh: Sorry for the below par performance on sunday. Probably lack of fitness and lack of communication with my fellow players. Well, we had several new faces playing across the attacking roles and need to play together more often to form the partnership. We can do a lot better with less criticisms on the field and replace them with more encouragement! There are certainly times when we need to wake the players up but the amount of voices on the field are putting the players off. I can see many of our players losing their confidence as a result.
Qn: Some fans have said that the team's results are suffering due to many absentees or players who appear infrequently. Do you think there is any merit to that?
Josh: I personally do not see that as a direct cause for our failure as we have retain the key core of players over the 3 matches. But i do hope more our players will be more consistent with their attendance !
Qn: The signing of new midfielder, Lester has excited our fans and they can't wait to see him in our new pink jersey. What do u think about the new signing?
Josh: Lester is an exceptional player with great determination and stamina. He will be the solution for our wings to bring in accurate passes for the strikers.
Qn: Speaking of new signings, what do you think of Bennett Tan's debut match last Sunday?
Josh: Bennett played well over the 2 halves and he showed great anticipation and composure. I'm sure he will settle in quickly and i hope he will utilise his pace more often.
Qn: There has been speculation that the club are attempting an outrageous bid to lure star playmaker Shawnaldinho to play for the Sausages. Any truth to that?
Josh: We can't deny it as Shawnaldhino will certainly be a good addition for the club. The players themselves have experienced his mesmerising skills and the prospect of having him in our club will be wonderful.
Qn: Lastly, any words for the fans?
Josh: Be patient and Team Sausagefest will certainly deliver in the near future.
Inspiring words indeed. Thank You for your time!
Josh: Cheers.
